Overview
Frozen in the marble of the 1855 classification, the hierarchy of crus that make up the Margaux appellation is economical in notable events. Among these, the history of Château Larruau is a particularly remarkable episode in the life of the terroir. Born from the turbulent history of a cru now partly shared between the neighbouring estates, Château Larruau is the result of a patient reconstitution. Today, with a new identity, with a strong argument for quality, it is gradually joining the very closed concert of its prestigious neighbours.
Since then, the estate, which has been somewhat enlarged, has experienced a remarkable upturn that has gradually placed it among the elite of the appellation’s crus.
Aromas of cherries and minestrone. A dynamic wine with discreet well-integrated tannins and juicy acidity. Rich, complex flavors shine under the spotlight of generous acidity. A superb lingering finish that includes plums and raisins.
