Description
Alois Lageder ‘Classic’ Lagrein has a cherry red colour with a ruby shimmer. Intense aromas with fruity (plums, berry), spicy and animal notes. Medium-bodied in the mouth. Structured and fresh with present tannins.
Documented in Alto Adige as early as 1370, this native variety is a flagship of Alto Adige viticulture. It originated from a natural cross between Teroldego and another indigenous grape variety and is related to Syrah. Our cultivation practices aim to highlight its characteristic intense juiciness and acidity.
