Gosset Grand Blanc de Blancs

Champagne Gosset based in Aÿ is the oldest wine house in Champagne (1584). Since 1993, the business has been in the ownership of the Cointreau family. Gosset are the proud owners of Grand Cuvée vineyards and source their grapes from a network of growers in Premier and Grand Cru vineyards. The Gosset wines are matured for much longer than legally required, which, along with the suppression of malolactic fermentation, helps to create the wines’ distinctive depth of flavour.

The first nose expresses white flowers, hawthorn, green apples and citrus. As the Champagne warms up, a hint of grapefruit peel comes to the fore, accompanied by ginger and star anise. On the palate, flavours of citrus fruit mingle with pineapple and finish with a sparkling saline note.
