Description
Montespina Verdejo ‘Sobre Lias’ is fresh and lively. This young white wine from the Avelino Vegas winery has a velvety body and a fruity character. Well defined vegetal notions, combined with remembrances of bitter herbs and exotic fruit. Good acidity and medium slightly bitter finish.
The company was founded in 1950 by Avelino Vegas in the Segovian village of Santiuste de San Juan Baptista. He started producing wines with grapes from vineyards in the area especially Verdejo. The creation of the Rueda appellation in 1982 was the acknowledgement of the quality of white wine in the region.
