Description
Fuentespina Reserva displays aromas of ripe black fruits on the nose, with toasty touches, spices, cacao and liquorice. It is fleshy, with great volume and structure and abundant tannin. Long, aromatic and very fine finish.
The company was founded in 1950 by Avelino Vegas in the Segovian village of Santiuste de San Juan Baptista. He started producing wines with grapes from vineyards in the area especially Verdejo. The creation of the Rueda appellation in 1982 was the acknowledgement of the quality of white wine in the region.
In 1993 the family expanded into Ribera del Duero. They are now producing fabulous 100% Tempranillo wines from our Roble 7 up to the icon wine “F” de Fuentespina. This wine rests for 16 months in American and French oak barrels.
