Overview
The bush vines in the Ébano Estate are 70+ years old, and when harvested, in the hands of Cristina Mantilla, one of Spain’s most respected wine makers, offer a beautiful harmony where some of the Ribera’s finest vines are exquisitely managed to produce the wonderfully elegant set of Ébano wines.
Intense garnet color that shows a medium-high layer. On the nose it has a complex and elegant intensity. The aromas of red fruits such as raspberry and currant stand out; and black fruits such as blackberries and blueberries. All of them well assembled with light touches of balsamic, vanilla, menthol, smoky and subtle notes of tobacco leaf from the wood. It also shows notes of raisins, figs and dates. On the palate it is round and with good structure. Its entry is very soft and unctuous. The notes of chocolate and toffee stand out, giving it a sweet touch. Its tannin is dense and smooth, accompanied by a good acidity that refreshes its imposing ripeness. Long and exquisite aftertaste.
