Overview

Winemaker Attilio Pagli was heralded by Decanter Magazine in 2016 as Italy’s Best Winemaker and amongst the Top 10 in the World. With grapes grown on the rolling Tuscany hills, famed for their white gravel soils, Maialina wines are crafted to express the essence of the territory and tradition of quality of this historic region. They celebrate the history, culture, and cuisine of Chianti, renowned for its beautiful landscape marked with green, gentle hill-covered vineyards, olive groves and cypress trees. The name “La Maialina”, the little pig, refers to the Cinta Senese heirloom breed that originated in the Siena area during the 1300’s and is the only Tuscan native pig to survive extinction.

Inviting aromas of black cherries, plums and sweet spices, with notes of roses and black pepper. This wine is elegant and lush on the palate with ripe round tannins and a long finish.
