The Wine Merchant Magazine

The Wine Merchant Magazine have recognised our partners in Tohu, Gosset and Domaine Lafage in their top 100 wines of 2026!

The Wine merchant top 100 winners were unveiled on the 18th of May. The competition, hosted by the Wine Merchant Magazine, is judged exclusively by independent wine retailers. Their focus is directly on wines sold by independents, not supermarkets or multiples.

Domaine Lafage, Cuvee Nicolas

Named after the son of Jean-Marc and Elaine, this wine comes from vineyard at the foothill of the Pyrenees, and from parcels of the high valley of L’Agly. Schist marble soil, South/South-East Exposure.

Nicolas is no stranger to the Irish, having completed an internship with Mackenway in 2025.

Champagne Gosset Grand Rosé

Bottled at the end of the spring following the harvest. 4 years minimum ageing in the cellars. They adjust the dosage with precision to preserve the balance between freshness and fruit without masking the wine’s character and purity.

Tohu One SV Pinot Noir, Marlborough

Formed from soils carried down from mount Tapuae-o-Uenuku. One reveals the depth and balance of the Whenua Awa vineyard, the strength of the land and the enduring connection with it as tangata whenua – people of the land.
